Chefchaouen (Chaouen)

City combines heritage and nature

 it's a new tourist destination receives guests from different places.

Chefchaouen, or city «Ali bin Rashed» as residents and visitors call it ( name of its founder.) One of the small towns, which combines Moroccan Andalusian civilization and ancient heritage, and is one of the mountainous tourist landmarks that characterize the region, providing many of the natural and urban spaces which granted the title of «Cordoba Morocco».

Tourism grows in Chaouen, from June to September of each year, for those who would like to visit in the summer, while the spring known by high demand ,the price of hotel ranging between 200 and 300 dirhams per night.

240 kilometers north of the capital Rabat, there Chefchaouen or Chaouen, the city of mountains and the city of the waterfall and blue city.

The city, despite its small size, a number of neighborhoods that make up a shrine for each visitor, starting with «peduncle neighborhood (Hay Swiqa )», which is the second oldest residential community built after the "Kasbah", it includes the most important and oldest existing homes in Chaouen who wears the color blue mixed with white. Fountain wall's adorning the corridors "Qissariya".

The city also includes Al-Andalus neighborhood, which was built

on the basis of harboring the second group of Andalusian 

immigrants who came to the city of Chefchaouen, is regarded as a 

neighborhood element of the north-western limit of the city wall.

The city is also famous for its square «Watta Hammam», which includes the area of 3 thousand square meters, it's a pole tourist, historically and commercially significant, given that all roads lead to it, it's a space includes cafes and restaurants offering a range of the most popular dishes in the region, also vendors show their traditional products characterize the region, beside the Grand Mosque.

Despite the difficult terrain, "Achkour" Falls is a wonderfull places that shouldn't be missed, has been able in recent years to bring visitors, which is the nearest city to Chefchaouen, the visitors can discover more fabulous landscapes, divided between small rivers branching in different directions and mountains..
